Nascar Teams

Nascar racing is at an exciting phase of the season and the Million dollar question is which Nascar team is the best? For me the first option would be Hendrick Motorsports and then Joe Gibbs and Roush Fenway Racing – these are the Nascar teams that are very obvious contenders for the win. But it goes without being said that in Nascar racing being a good and skill full driver helps a lot but being good and skillful on that Sunday is something that cannot be reduced to mere numbers and statistics. These top Nascar teams constantly ask them selves the questions, 1) Can we be competitive? 2) Can we win championships? And 3) can we win races? Their greatness comes from their ability to ask these questions and then to honestly them. If the answer is no, then these Nascar teams try to find out what can be done to turn that into a YES.

It also has to mentioned that there are a few Nascar teams that are looking to make a strong come back in Nascar racing.

The first such Nascar team that comes to mind is petty Enterprises – one gets the feeling that Richard and Kyle Petty along with Robbie Loomis have really given it their all in these last two seasons and their Nascar racing program looks very good for the future. Petty Enterprises is an organization that seems to be making all the right moves at the moment – this is one team that I am going to keep my eye on and hope for Nascar team has a return to glory.

Another Nascar team Gillett Evernham Motorsports bought in George Gillett into the company and it has worked wonders for them. This organization is working real hard as well to get to the point where they can be considered a contender for the championship.

One just can’t help be excited about what Stewart-Haas Racing has right now – they have got Hendrick engines and Hendrick support plus they also have the strong backing from Chevy. So, there is great temptation in saying that this Nascar team going to be great. But it goes without saying that being a good Nascar racing driver or having a star studded team will not win championships – What’s required is team work and it needs to be seen if Tony can pull every one together and this work.

There is a gap between Nascar racing’s most biggest and most valuable teams and those hanging on for just another race. There have also been mergers between middle-level teams as they have come to realize the efficiency that can be achieved in this way – an example that comes to mind is Ginn racing merging with Earnhardt inc.

The most Valuable Nascar racing team in terms of money is Hendrick Motorsports (worth $335 million), Roush Fenway Racing is at second place (worth $ 313 million) and Joe Gibbs Racing is a distant third (worth $184 million). These are the teams that are confidently positioning themselves for the championship win and in a perfect that is what would probably happen. But Nascar racing is far from predictable and history has taught us that it just takes a few races for an underdog to become a star – Don’t hold your breath if Nascar teams like petty Enterprises, Penske Racing, or Dale Earnhardt Inc are seen crossing the checkered flag. After all it’s Nascar!
