Richard Petty

Born July 2nd, 1937, Richard Lee Petty was nicknamed “The King”, he is considered to be the most well known of all nascar championship drivers. He was the first nascar driver to win the Nascar Championship seven times, followed only by Dale Earnhardt who was the second person to accomplish this feat. Petty won a record of 200 races during the course of his career, he won the Daytona 500 seven times, and won ten races consecutively in 1967 alone. Richard Lee petty is largely considered to be the greatest nascar car racing driver of all time.

Bobby Allison

A former nascar driver was born December 3, 1937, was a NASCAR Winston Cup racer. His name appears on the list of the 50 greatest Nascar drivers of all time. Bobby Allison initially worked as a mechanic and engine tester, and later became a driver who won the national championship racing in the modified special division In the year 1962. Bobby Allison’s car racing career came to an end when he met with a life threatening accident on June 19, 1988 at the Poncono Raceway.

Cale Yarborough

William Caleb Yarborough was born March, 27, 1940 near the famous car racing track Darlington Raceway in Timmonsville, South Carolina. He is the former owner and driver of the Nascar Winston Cub. He is famous for the three consecutive championship wins in NASCAR history. He is also one of the few Nascar drivers who have appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated. His last race as a nascar driver was in 1988 at the Atlanta Journal 500.

David Pearson

He was nick named “silver fox”, and made his debuted as a Nascar driver on the Grand National car racing circuit in 1960. He soon earned the Rookie of the year honor that very same season. He won the Nascar Championships of 1966, 1968 and 1969.

Darrell Waltrip

Darrel Lee Waltrip won the Nascar Winston cup car racing champion thrice, he was the Daytona 500 winner. He is the elder brother of the current Nascar driver Micheal waltrip. He has a total of 84 wins during his career as a Nascar driver.

Jeff Gordon

He is a professional car racing driver and a four time winner of the NASCAR Winston cup, now called the sprint cup. He is also a three time Daytona 500 winner and drives a #24 Chevrolet Impala.

Dale Earnhardt

Dale Earnhardt is an American car racing driver who was best known as a stock cars driver in Nascar’s top division. During his career as a nascar driver Earnhardt has 76 wins.

Rusty Wallace

Wallace is a former Nascar champion driver, he owns the Nationwide series. He is also appeared in the 1990 film Days of Thunder. He was awarded the 1979 USAC stock car rookie of the year.

Lee Petty

A two time Nascar champion Ned Jarrett was born October 12, 1932. He is was well known NASCAR driver with a calm and cool attitude and was rightfully named “Gentleman Ned Jarrett”. He had a total of 50 wins throughout his career as a NASCAR driver.
